Dick has served on Rose Hill Center’s Board and its Executive Committee since its inception in 1989. He became Treasurer in 1992 and was also elected Treasurer of Rose Hill Foundation when it was established in 2003. The Boards’ fiduciary responsibility is paramount to Dick as evidenced by his prudent oversight of budgets, financial statements and investments. He has been a member of numerous committees and involved in a variety of projects. Dick has been influential in Rose Hill’s past successes and he continues to be instrumental in securing Rose Hill’s future.

All of us at Rose Hill would like to thank Dick for all he has done for our organization, and congratulate him on his much-deserved honor!

On Veterans Day, as a nation, we must commit to doing more to address these mental health issues. That will be the true measure of honoring the men and women who deserve our thanks for their service.

A graduate of the University of Michigan, Dr. Zachar received her medical degree from Michigan State University in Lansing and completed her residency training at Henry Ford Health Sciences Center in Detroit. She has specialized in behavior health for more than 15 years and is currently the psychiatric director at Segue, Inc., a nonprofit mental health agency that provides patients with essential and intensive outpatient services.

In addition, Dr. Zachar is a staff psychiatrist at Henry Ford Health System as well as a clinical assistant professor at Wayne State University. She is also a member of the American Psychiatric Association and Michigan Psychiatric Society.

“Dr. Zachar is an exceptional physician and brings with her substantial knowledge of mental health issues,” said Ben Robinson, president of Rose Hill Center. “She is very conscientious of her patients’ needs and we are confident that she will be an excellent addition to the team at Rose Hill Center.”

Arts du Jour is the annual charity preview event for Ford Arts, Beats & Eats. In its 9th year, Arts du Jour will benefit 10 Metro Detroit charities by raising money and increasing awareness and outreach for the organizations making a difference through art and entertainment.  Charities receive a minimum of 75% of the proceeds of all ticket sales, and over $2.5 million has been raised for local charities from Ford Arts, Beats & Eats and related events.
